Superhawk only likes fresh fuel

My 01 superhawk seems to only like fresh fuel from the pump. Even 1 day old fuel seems to perform less than optimum like freshly pumped fuel does. Does the fuel degrade just enough in that 1 day or might something be off in the superhawk?

Some days mine runs great, some days things just don't "feel right". It's NOT the bike, it's me. Maybe that's your fuel issue?
I do know for sure that running third rate fuel for the long term will cause issues. In some of the vehicles I've owned I could tell a difference in how the motor ran right after a fill up with other than my usual gas.
Just some food for thought.

You need to keep your fuel refrigerated @ a cool 53 degrees It's cooler when it comes outta the underground pump, hence your slight increase in performance.

It seems like the gas. It may be some system on the bike. The hawk accelerates better with fresh fuel than with a couple day old fuel. Fresh fuel performs noticeably better than fuel that has been in the tank a couple days.

Well, if you're so sure it's the gas, then something may be contaminating your gas. Perhaps run a fuel friendly cleaning agent like seafoam or something like that in your gas tank.

I doubt this will solve your issue, however, it will help eliminate potential contaminates in the fuel distribution system.

This bike has been like this since I got it. But was in **** poor shape when I did. When I first changed the clutch fluid it changed the friction zone on the lever it was that bad. But I have added inline fuel filters and I would put in sea foam or Royal purple with every fill up. But after a day or so it would return to its normal state when I would like to figure out how to keep the power it gets with fresh fuel.

Hopefully my winter maintenance may fix the issue. Plan to look at the CCT, valve clearances and do a good carb clean/sync. Has roughly 40k miles

Any thoughts to the issue then if it's not the gas?

This is probably the culprit, Wolverine is on the pointy end of this. When I drag raced cars we ran "cool cans" an aluminum can with about 2.5 feet of fuel line in a coil, drop in ice or dry ice presto instant horsepower and throttle response! Mike Velasco (Factory Honda tuner) once built a bike with a second filler in the fuel tank leading to a chamber that they loaded dry ice into... Made the bike faster!

Sounds pretty awesome. Though the only upgrade I can think of to help right now is adding a heatshield under the gas tank again. Would it be that much effective? (Didn't have one when I acquired it, but parts diagrams shows there should be one)

The inline paper filters from oreilly's. Haven't had an issue from them. But the issue happened before I installed them
