Superfast yellow superhawks

I have heard from several highly reliable sources that yellow is indeed the fastest color on a superhawk. Even recently it was reported that a superfast yellow superhawk had to be pulled over by the texas lawmen for fear that he might shift into second gear. With yellow being the fastest of the superhawks, which color bikes are the slowest?
Cheers and have fun all,
Walt

blue, red, grey and black in that order. yellow is the fastest, the last couple cops i blasted by didnt even come after me, must have seen my bike pop a flame on a shift and got scared of what might happen to him if he came after me

They make superhawks in other colors?! Why would you want to slow the bike down with other drag induced colors? They must have painted over the factory yellow. That's all I can figure.

Well, the opposite of yellow is purple, so all purple kawi's are officially the slowest bikes. Red and blue make purple, so those are also officially both equally as slow. It's a shame, if only people would have gotten yellow for their bikes we wouldn't have this problem. This was confirmed by NASA by the way..

Since RED is as close to the IR range as you can get it is faster than all other colors in the visible range. Yellow is mid-pack and blue being closer to the UV range is slowest.

Can't argue physics. Have some red paint for sale....anyone?

On my "stealth grey" (titanium) SuperHawk, I blast right by cops without even being noticed...knock on wood. And that's even with inferior late model flat cams.

thats what i think happened aswell, or maybe someone lost their hand in the batter and it turned the yellow to something else. clearly slowing the bike down.

I thought color blindness was a disqualifying factor for being a cop because clearly he must have seen yours.....

Don't get me wrong, as Tweety and I agreed, we like yellow bikes, they're easier to spot as we blow past them.

Only two things are yellow, chickens and cowards.

Yellow gives me a reason to wear hi viz yellow gear without looking like a beemer owner who is doing it because he read in a recent magazine article that it would help avoid people slapping him for being a ****.

When I bought my SH it was red. Now it is yellow. I can attest to a 3.76% increase in top speed. 4.7% more torque. And the kicker...6.8% better fuel economy. I'm painting my '95 F-250 yellow tomorrow.

Speaking of color blindness, a friend of mine (Victor Speed, great name) at Fullerton College back in the mid '60s was color blind. He had a Yellow 1965 Buick Special big block 4 speed. He said Yellow looked Brown to him...and we know what else is Brown.

nothing will help that f250 getting better than 3 mpg gas milage, unless, you paint it the same pearl yellow as a north american firestorm, then itll triple that number. its a little trick the car manufacturers dont want you to know about

haha yeah, if you guys are like me and my friends youd have told him it was yellow while it was hot 80s pink or something flashy like that, lol.

we had a teacher in high school who was color blind and you could always tell the days when his wife wasnt around to pick his clothes out for him. must be what red blue black and grey superhawk owners feel like every day

Actually yellow and blue were the only colors he didn't see normally. Blue was grey, which must have sucked, since the sky would always look grey.

Another friend of mine, who used to own a motorcycle accessories shop in Long Beach, only sees black and white.
