soon to be killer deal
I went to cycle gear today and noticed they had alot of Pirelli Diablos stacked up so I asked if they are doing the buy the rear and get the front for free. The manager said they will be offering the buy the rear and get the front for free for around $150-160 plus tax for the set. He wasn't quite sure on the exact dollar but said it would be a one day only saturday only sale.

Hey! I clearly said I got my install price down to $105!! haha. Still walkin' funny after that one....
I would recommend the Diablos. VERY sticky (at least compared to the stock 204's they replaced, for what that's worth).

I work at Cycle Gear and was going to post this but since it's here......Diablo's will be $159 for the set for our size and an extra $10 for a 190/50, in FLA it's $20 per tire mount and spin balance. Also the whole store will be on sale with 10% off including close outs and 20% on helmets. If you do dirt the Dunlop 756 will be like $45 for the front and $49 for the rear I believe. The sale will be one day only, Sat. May 19th, good time to get some sneakers, also you can buy or order the tires early but you can't pick them up until that day to get the deal.

I run the Conti Road Attacks right now. I usually get around 4-5K out of the back, and can run one front for every two rear. How would these compare as far as wear, anyone have a ballpark figure? Definitely a good deal regardless. Thanks for the heads up!

Just ordered 'em on the website. I need some tires for an August trackday & these should do fine if I stay out of the throttle on the "fishhook" turn @ VIR's south course.
160 + 10 shipping for the pair + 6.40 tax.
They are the Diablo Supersport. These are not the Corsa III that Pirelli had the free tire promo for last Fall. Still a great deal.
Thanks Sgt Rock & superhawk22 for posting the info.

Hopefully they will do fine. Many harder compounds will get greasy when overheated. Be careful! I know that turn out to the back of the course on the left (T7?) is off camber and can get greasy. Also the last turn by the oak tree is pretty tight. Late apexing that one is the key.

I hate to be that guy to turn this thread into a tire thread (just like the heated oil threads) but is $160 for a set of Pirellis as good as a $210 set of Pilot Powers?? Not being used for a trackday mind you...

Just curious before going through with an order for either of them.

I've used dunlops, michelins, and pirelli's and the pirelli's are my favorite. I can really crank the bike over and the tires stick nice in the turns. I get about 2500-3000 miles out of the rear tire and try not to ride the straights as much as possible
