Everyone has their own preferences and money cannot convince any of us otherwise. I own a zx9r and I can't ride it for ****. It feels like a refrigerator between my legs and I have to red line it to pull off it's own shadow. It's not the bike. It's actually quite good - I'm not. It feels like a 2-cycle compared to the VTR and VFR. I'm used to bumming through parking lots one pop of the cylinders at a time. The zx just wants to die when treated like that. Motorcycles should sound like motorcycles - not blenders. The important thing is to be safe so we can continue the discussion tomorrow. Happy trails!

No ****! That's cool I had a '00 ZX12 also next to my '98 superhawk. I'll go ahead and say the zx12 was the best bike I've ever owned, but I'm a superhawk nut and eventually sold it to my best friend and kept the superhawk. The ZX12 was simply amazing though with regards to power, brakes, stability. The previous owner had it on a radar at 195 mph, and although fun, rolling on the gas on an early sunday morning and having it get sideways at 80 or 90 mph on the turnpike was probably a little much for me. I do miss that bike though. She was a beauty. I love it all if it has two wheels also. Good luck!

Hi gents: Unless I'm mistaken, I'm the buyer of that very nice yellow 2000 SH. I sold an almost mint 1988 CBR 600F and found the SH the same day. The plan is to bundle up and ride it home 150 miles tomorrow. BTW his Kawasaki (still assuming it's the right guy) is amazing. I've had about 20 bikes and the only other V twin was a 1946 Knucklehead I had when I was 18. My other ride is a ST 1300-now I'll have two V's to choose from. You all run a very nice forum and I'm learning a lot. Thanks! LD

Welcome to the forum
And to the OP:
I have a ZX6 in my garage I'm rebuilding right now, I'll post some pictures of the progress up soon. It was a wrecked bike that the guy I bought my Hawk from purchased and we're getting it back road worthy.
Never was a huge kawi fan, but working on this one has turned out to be fun.

Variety is the spice of Life.
To the op, congrats on the sale and good luck with the new purchase.
To the new owner, congrats on the purchase.
As for variety, both of mine are vtwins. One is 996 cc's and the other is 2053 cc's. Both are a blast in thier own way.

I'd be the last to shame you for going back to kawis!!
Are you getting a new one? No interest in an 05-06 636? I rode around on one for a month (while my 01' zx6r sat) and it was the nicest bike I've ever ridden (including gsxr750, duc 900ss, r6, VFR's)....never rode a new 599, but you can pick up a nice 636 for like $5500.
