Should I get this 04 Suzuki GS500F?
So I constantly see this bike sitting out side of this house near me, snow/rain uncovered. I drove by and left my number. SHE called me and I asked if she was looking to sell it. She said yes for $1,000 But she said she would drop the price for the bike as is. It was dropped and needs some parts but would be perfect for a Fighter! What would you buy it for judging by the pictures that I posted? Does it have 2,624 miles or 26,241?
Would $700 be a smack in the face?

Remember you can always raise your offer, but you can't lower it. Go in at $700, it seems she already gave you the opening to negotiate. Sounds like no mater what you got it for under $1000
Great find
BTW pretty certain it is 2,624 the last digit is 1/10

its 2,624.1 mi on the odo. It looks like it had a frame slider on the clutch side, (behind the turn signal) that is bent towards the back wheel. If it is, I would make sure that it is the bolt that is bent/broke and not the frame.

HELLO! So I met her in person today. After a little talking I asked what she would want, she said $600 She was the sweetest person!
She also included 3 helmets, Med leather jacket, gloves, 2 pairs of glasses, charger, new turn signal, new clutch leaver and a thor long sleeve shirt. I put a new charged battery in but nothing no click nothing.. What could it be?....Relay?....Solenoid?....Switch?....Fuse?.... Combo of all?... I popped the clutch it in second and started right up. She rides and brakes like new. I haven't checked 5th gear but others worked great!
I'm going to work on it tomorrow to get the starter working. I will update...
Here are some pictures of the gear.
New outlaw helmet all others are used

Might sound like a dumb response, but on the Suzuki's you have to pull the clutch in to start it, even if it's in neutral. If you're doing that check to make sure the other safety switches are not malfunctioning, i.e. side stand, kill switch.

It may be a switch, I had the stand up, kill off and the clutch held in still nothing. She said the clutch switch gave her problems before so I will start with it tomorrow.

Ok so I sorted the starting issue with a multimeter. It was the clutch switch, when she dropped it it must have popped off track. I also charged the battery over night and it holds a charge. So no problems besides cosmetic.

Hello!
It's been a while but I'm back.
So today I got some work in on her.
I got a 2007 Harley Davidson Dyna headlight and made a mock mounting bracket.
What do you guys think?
Perhaps some cutting, welding and paint after the fitment tomorrow.
Cost $5 for the steel from Home Depot 2x 6" - 2x 4 3/4" clamped together and drilled with plenty of oil.
I lucked out the bulb is a H4 the same as the gs500

I'd say you put it back to stock and sell it for a profit. Other than the light crash damage, that GS is pretty clean. They are excellent learner bikes, and good commuters, but not the ideal bike for a streetfighter project.

Nice Job Justinity, looks good. Great learner/ town bike. You would be looking at purchase price(excellent deal-unrealistic in Hawaii) + $800+ for anything fairly decent in Hawaii. Price of living in "Paradise", maybe I should move to the Mainland...but, my S/H and I are happy. They used to be a pretty popular "cult" bike at one time on the track here.
