shitty gas mileage!

If that is the case, then when I had on the 43T rear, it was actually getting less milage than it calculated out? If so, my mpg was lower than I thought and now that I have a 41T back on, am I actually geting better mpg, allbeit the same as I THOUGHT I was getting but was not? My brain is too tired to figure it out myself now.

So if 43/16 = 2.68 & 41/16 = 2.56 and 2.68 - 2.56 = .12 / 41 = .04 or 4% lower gearing + 11% speedo error = 15% lower road speed than indicated and mph error is same as odo error, then if I thought i was averaging 34 mpg with 43T, it was really 4% lower or 32.64 mpg and I'm now getting 34 since changing back to 41T, its actually 4% improved mpg. now that amkes sense except I'm running one lower gear at speeds below 65 mph because it feels like its lugging in 6th below 65 mph, so its probably a wash.
Whew, do I feel better now.

32-34 mpg. Fill up at @ 100 miles on the trip/odometer. I don't wait for the light to come on. I just fill up. Shift @ 6-6500 rpms and do a 50/50 highway and city riding.
Running 16/43 sprockets.
