selling advice?
So it's come time to move back to the motherland and since shipping would be twice the bikes worth, I must sell but need some advice in doing so. Reason for this is because the paint is awful with many scratches and engine cover is scratches as well. Do you all think it would be easier to sell by repainting and getting new cover or to just sell as is for cheaper price? thanks for your help!

I can't necessarily answer your question but I can give my 2 cents if it helps at all. It's kinda like the dilemma when you put a bunch of aftermarket stuff on the bike...do you sell it as is or return it to stock and sell of the parts separately? For you I guess you have to figure what you'd get for the bike as is, how much more you'd get painted and cleaned up, and how much you are able to have the painting, etc done for...Figure which is going to put more money in your pocket and if it's painting then is it worth the extra trouble? If you know someone who can do the work for cheap (or if you can) then the answer becomes easier. Good luck. Where are you located by the way?

Hey man thanks for the help..yeah I'm trying to find someone who can do the paint for cheap but it's a bad time for anyone to want to give away their time for cheap these days so who knows..I'm located in central part of NC. once again thanks.

Yeah it's a shitty time for alot of things. I see bikes selling for a bit cheaper. Choppers are VERY inexpensive compared to what they were, but I also see sportbikes a little cheaper now too. Some guy local had his '98 superhawk on ebay, real light damage to the right side fairing and engine cover, but otherwise clean. Had some cool parts like the rare full yosh race exhaust and it only bid up to $1400 (!). He did have a reserve though and wanted $3k.
