Is replacing the brake pads fairly easy? I know it's easy on most bikes... does that hold true with the superhawk? I'm going to be doing it on Saturday... prolly OEM on the rear and EBC HHs on the front.
I'm new to working on my own bike. How many brake pads am I going to need for the stock calipers?

Front needs 2 for each side, (2 sets total), rear is just 2, (1 set), and they're really easy to change. Do you have a manual? If not there's one you can download on here somewhere you can figure it out just makes it easier.

Very easy. I find it's easiest when the calipers are removed (two 8mm allen screws on each side). Then remove the small mini-screw with a flat-head screwdriver, and the allen screw that lies underneath that. This releases pressure on the pad clip, and the old pads should slide right out.
Before you throw the old pads away, I find it helps to use them to push the pistons back into the caliper. This gives you a bit more breathing room with the new pads. Install the new pads, line up the pad clip and allen screw that puts tension on the pad clip, etc.

Can I offer my assistance... I've changed pads several times. And I'm going to be in Seattle (Shorline) this weekend. Late Sat morning works best for me as I'll be down by GreenLake picking up some pads for the Guzzi.
You'll need tools, fresh DOT 3 or 4 fluid and a piece of hose to bleed the brakes. Oh also an old turkey baster... Really
