Racing 905 race cage installed
well i will try to get better pics once the weather clears up. install wasnt too bad. looks like they will protect very well.
looks like they would make great light bars too!
just playing around with some old lights from my truck that were lying around......might not be a bad idea to put some smaller Piaa lights there though.......

dang it...
I was just putting the scenarios together to see how they could protect the bike during a wreck.
They seem like they'd work well for a low-speed slide out, maybe a little more. Yes the rear does look to be a little unprotected, but I don't think the weight would be distributed to that area, unless you're in my neighborhood and you run into one of the people who ride passengers and attempt donuts......
Then the passenger's weight could force the rear of the bike toward the pavement.
Other than that, I think it will work pretty good.
WAIT...
what if it flips??!! lol

You need to drill holes.
Here's my opinion on cages and frame sliders though: They're great for if you drop your bike, but they have a very high potential to do far more damage to your bike. I have seen frame sliders crack frames, rip off engine case covers, and send bikes cartwheeling into oblivion.
Frame sliders are supposed to slide across the surface of the road, but the minute they go into dirt, grass, etc or catch on the road surface, the game changes.
In my opinion, the positives are far outweighed by the negatives.
