Project bike from the folk down under

Re: Project bike from the folk down under
You are quite correct, it is the Mario Nava bike photoshopped!!! Thats because the fairing & seat unit have not been fitted as yet, (they are the Mario Nava items), because the subframe has to be custom made to fit the seat unit. The Exan pipes will be on the project bike. We have simply been playing with colour schemes to find one that is suitable. The one you see is the final selection!
Also, the project bike has a JMC braced swingarm from England, Gilles Gold anodised rearsets, Ducati USD Front forks (not SP1's as in the photo) & a Hyperpro shock.

Re: Project bike from the folk down under
Yeh I'm running it without a hugger... I like the look of an uncluttered ***
As for cost, well I don't think you really want to know, suffice to say it took 11 months & cost twice the purchase price of a Hawk!
I have a second low mile motor in the garage waiting for a rebuild. When the bank balance regains its composure, I plan on a Moriwaki stage 3 kit & high comp pistons with a full bench port flow. I need 135Hp to put the RC51's in their place...
Yesterday was the first trip out to fettle any dramas (none rose their head thank GOD)
Here's some more pics...

Re: Project bike from the folk down under
You can find them here...
http://www.swingarm.com/
just specify which rear wheel you want to run, wether you want bracing (top, bottom or both) & what type of chain adjustment (normal or concentric)....
at least delivery would be cheaper than it was to ship the bloody thing to Australia....
