Pre-Charged Batteries

I am looking for a battery for my SH that comes pre-charged. I really don't want to have to put the acid in myself. Anyone have any luck finding a battery which fits this description?

I bought a gel glass mat battery from Advanced Auto for my hawk and it was $75 which was $10 more than the unit that required you to pour the acid in and charge overnight. I was able to put it in and go riding immediately.

In the long run, AGM's like the Oddessey are worth the extra money. The construction of AGMs allows them to be used in environments where other batteries would literally fall to pieces. This is another reason why AGMs see broad use in the aviation and the RV industry. The pulses of a SH will shorten the life of a cheap battery that would do fine in a in-line 4. The higher charge efficiency of AGMs allows you to recharge with less energy: Flooded cells convert 15-20% of the electrical energy into heat instead of potential power. Gel-cells lose 10-16% but AGMs as little as 4%. The higher charge efficiency of AGMs can contribute to significant savings when it comes to the use of expensive renewable energy sources (wind generators, solar panels, etc.) as your charging system can be 15% smaller...more HP to the wheel and less to the alt.

More details here...most of above is cut and past from
