Pocono 7/29 Trackday

Hi guys, just booked a trackday with www.teampromotion.com for Friday July 29th at Pocono raceway in eastern PA. The superchicken will be taking some abuse as usual as I do my best to keep pace with my two buds, one on a 636 and the other a r6.

I always have a canopy up for some shade and extra chairs if anyone plans on attending or would like to stop in to spectate. I'll bump this topic again as the trackday approaches.

Oh, I'll finally mount my '02 gsxr 6-pot front brake calipers (with ebc HH pads) for this trackday and I'll post up w/my impressions.

I'll be at Pocono on July 1st with TPM & July 11th with Champions. I think I'm in for the F-USA track at Pocono in Aug.

There are usually a couple other hawks out there.

Too bad are days are crossed

Hey cdyer77,
I think Champion was forced to change the F-USA layout for some reason. Check their website as I am fuzzy on the details.

They had to change yesterdays F-usa course to the East course because Nascar was up there a week or two ago and they were still repairing the track in the spots that the nascar guys screwed it up.

The east course is fun though. Its just a little smaller.

I'd really love to go just for the experience on the track. No cars, no gravel, and sightlines through the turn. But I still don't have a leather jacket to go with my pants.

Maybe next year.

You can rent all that stuff, helmet, back protector, etc. Hell you can even rent the whole bike!

How central to PA are you. I'm about 1 hour west of Philadelphia.

Yeah, I know I can rent the stuff. Just kinda icky thinking about who else was sweating in it. I keep saving for a jacket, then find something else to buy instead. Right now I'm buying good gear for my kids since he just got a MC.

I have good Tex jackets, but no leather.

I'm just south of Williamsport. If you wanna ride the mountains sometime, let me know. There's some of the best roads in the state within easy riding distance from here.
