Pictures

Hello everyone,

I need pictures (4 sides, not angled) of an accidented SH. Let me explain why. I live In QC, Canada and had a slide with my back last summer. Insurance claimed it total lost. However, laws here allow me to rebuild my bike, and plate it once again. To go through DMV inspection, once rebuiled is finished, I need four pics of the motorcycle before rebuild (which I did not know about).
It doesn't matter if the pics are really from this bike, since I do not need
to show serial numbers (which is silly if you ask me), but, that's how the system works.
So, if anyone has pics of an accident, or an internet site where I can play with the pics, please let me know.

So on a public forum, searchable by authorities in any country with an internet connection, you asking forum members to assist you in insurance fraud?

Umm, well ok.... best of luck to you..

Its not insurance froad in any way... its simply bending the rules of registration not stealing or immoral in any way... if you had a friend at the dmv you wouldn't need the pics at all...

I stand corrected, not insurance fraud

But not accordance to the laws of his government in any case.
To go through DMV inspection, once rebuiled is finished, I need four pics of the motorcycle before rebuild
Hey, it's all good... to each his own...

All I know is, if I was doing something illegal I would not post it on the internet asking others to participate.. But again, to each his own..

Wow, I never thought this would create such a probleme. I'm not necessarily fraud. It's my own bike, and I've finished rebuilding it. They just want pictures of the accident to see where the inspector should concentrate his efforts while inspecting it. If the forks were damaged, he wants to check if the new forks are conform and so on.
Not fraud, simple logic from the DMV's stand point. Yes it's bending the truth, however, no one had advised me before I was allowed to begin the project.
So, don't worry, your not taking any risks...I AM. And, I just wanna ride man ! Not look at it in my garage.

The day that the DMV has the time to search for fraud as menial as this is called 1984, and coincidentally, is the same day that I quit the internet and retire to the mountains and live on grubs and berries until I step on an old rusty mining cart which infects my foot and renders me useless to the point where I pass prematurely. I have it all planned out. Montana seems like a good place to shoot for.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m hoping the OP finds what he needs and gets his bike back on the road..

As for GOV agency not doing what I implied... Have a search .... Canada has already taken to using You Tube for vids of illegal activity..

Victoria, that’s in Canada Yes?
The OP, he is from Canada yes?

Good point... I'm not denying that it won't happen, but it seems that there is a definite difference between the two. Posting a vid of something that is as publicly dangerous and blatantly incriminating as that seems to be in a different category than asking for pics b/c the OP didn't know of a technicality with a bike salvage. Not that that validates the former, I would just think the system hasn't gone down the chute enough to be searching for the validity of pre-rebuild bike pics. I'm not assuming that you are debating this either, just wanted to add a little more to whatever file they have on me and my political views:

Why even have pictures? It's retarded. Just look over the damn bike. Who cares what happened to it, it's fixed now and that's all that matters. Stupid government.

See, I alway knew the Canadian government was up to something. Ever since that movie Canadian bacon.

It does not at all sound like anything fraudulent. They want pics of something in the past, so barring a time macnine, this just bridges the gap.

My only complaint is where the heck were you before this alleged crash? Got no love for us hawkers? Makes the whole thing sound like a social experiment.

Maybe a howaya or somthin. But thats just me.

Love the Hawkers, this is my second one. I only discovered you guys
a few weeks ago. So no worries for anyone.

Thanks for everyones input, negetive or positive. So, if intrested read on, here's how everything is coming down. Finally reached my insurance company, after many attempts, and spoke with the girl who originally took care of my claim. She remebered me cause she was real suprised I was able to do the claim myself after my accident. Usually, people are lying in a hospital bed. Good clothing saved my day. Anyway, she is sending me the pics the insurance adjuster took of the bike, and obviously, this will do the trick.
Dug a little deeper as to why all this complication just to put the bike back on the road. They want to be sure it's not a masked stollen bike, or parts are not from a stollen bike. I know, I know, pics are not going to tell the whole story, but details and VIN numbers do for them....so, can't argue with that logic.

Anyway, as soon as this whole ordeal is done and over, if intrested, I'll send you before and after, just for ****'s and gigles.

Yeah you should post them to get your post number up into the respectable double digits.

Dont mind Marquez, he's from Texas and probly thinks you are a commie since your country borders russia. (you're not are you?). This is an equal opportunity forum, they will let anyone on here, even Canadians!

For me I would never want to be in any club that would accept me as a member..

RUSSIA !?...COMMIE !?...Smok'inJoe, I'd check my geography if I were you . Alaska (Good old American State) is much closer to Russia then we are. So no, I'm no commie. And thanks for the support, I think I'm going to need it...

Now dont go badmouthing Alaska now. Lets just all get along. Alaska was the United States way of telling Russia, if you mess with Canada, you are messing with us.

Keep superhawking

That's a crafty way to point fingers and not answer the question... are you or are you not a commie?! Don't you hit Russia if you bee-line it north (well, and then south)?

So, for those of you who've followed this thread a few weeks ago, I am providing you with pics of where I am right now with the bike. That is, if your interested. Got it homologated by the DMV very late July, and been riding it back and forth to work the past few weeks.
Don't laugh too hard, it's in the works, and will recieve later this fall, a nice orange paint job, and some nice 996 decals I have a friend make for me. I put back my rebuilt Yoshi's (wow, that was hell with packing. For those of you who've done this in the past, you know) Skidmarx belly pan, and after market clutch/brake short arm levers.
Coming this week or so, if time permits, new smaller turn signal led lights both front and rear. Krieger CCt's, should be done over the winter time.

Just happy to ride it for now.

They should only take a few hours to fit and would ensure you have no further, expensive & time consuming set backs.

I know your right. However, my '98 had 88 000km with original cct's, so,
I guess it can't be any worst with a 16 000km one.
