Operating temperature norm?
I have looked all over but what is the normal operating temp range in celciuls degrees. I want to put a digital thermometer on my coolant to check temp but cant find the range.

Are you asking for the ideal range? I'd imagine it's the range that your thermostat opens and closes... something like 85-95 degrees C if I remember right.
I think from "TOO COLD TO CARE ABOUT REGISTERING" to "WAY TOO HOT TO SAFELY RUN" is about 35 to 130 degrees C on my temperature guages.

optimal operating temp? The fan kicks in at approx 220F. my '03 owner's manual says you should shut down if the temp reaches 251F. I'd guess optimal is something less than 220F.
I'm too lazy to find you the centigrade equivalent.

Yeah, that sounds right. I said I was "too lazy". Expanding on that I'd say it's my day off. I've already had 5 shots of good vodka. I'm not going anywhere (physically or mentally) and I can't be bothered.
Otherwise I'd have known 100C is 212F and probably just about the Goldilocks perfect op temp for the VTR.
