Official "Hello World" post
Hi Fellow Riders and VTR Enthusiasts!
I'm new to the forum having recently purchased a 1998 hawk with ~13k miles (pic attached).
I'm a Michigan native and have loved riding bikes since my brother first got one 15 years back. Now he and I can finally ride together!
NEEDED first upgrades will be mosfet r/r, manual cct, braided steel lines, new rubber, and possibly suspension. Mine is mostly/all OEM and I like that. I especially like the rear fender. Not sure why anyone would take it off!?
From all the wisdom and knowledge I've found browsing this board I can't thank you all enough. My only hope is that in time I'll have some wisdom to share and help others.
Bless you all!

haha, I LOVE vintage audio gear. Sansui the brand name is still around although not related to the major vintage audio manufacturer. In fact, that original company is still around making electrical components just no longer making consumer gear (at least not any we see in the states). Superhen, we don't say the s-word in these parts... bad for business.

Welcome aboard Sansui!
I spent the last 20yrs in Metro Detroit before moving back home but who knows I might make it back there on teh SuperChicken someday.
If you get a chance this fall (I did it Labor Day weekend) ride the Keewenaw Peninsula in the U.P. It's an absolute blast for Michigan twisties and make sure to hit Brockway Mountain Road just west of Copper Harbor, you'll be amazed trust me!
And the views up top there are just crazy incredible, bring a nice camera!
