Next bike KTM RC8 R ? What are your thoughts?
Hi gang,
I'll finish installing my new springs in the front tomorrow and now everything on my SH will be fresh and new. Evertything is new. Perfect time to get top dollar for her.
Another manager where I work just bought a '12 1199 Ducati and I got to thinking........what is my next V twin going to be? I'm thinking KTM RC8 R ...(I'm really looking forward your replies!)
Happy 4th of July and thanks to all you vets out there!

Never rode the R version, but I did spend a couple weeks test riding the original RC8 (2008) and was quite impressed. While not the quickest or fastest bike out there, it worked well with a nice broad powerband. Braking was awesome, handling solid. The best part, however, was the adjustable ergonomics, allowing you to tailor it to our needs (be it street or track) or height. Not sure what the relaibilty or resale is, however, but from what I saw and felt, likely the best real-world supersport made......

+1 I rode it for several weeks as well, was very impressed.
Surprisingly comfortable for a true sport bike on the street and other and gives you a perfect feel of control, power band and braking is awesome, it is not the highest tech out there, but it doe's the job all around really well, also should be very reliable, it is a Rotax engine after all. besides ergonomics, it is also very easy to work on, as I actually repaired it for a friend after an accident.
