New Rubbers
Just ordered a new set of rubber(s) Replacing my Dunlop D208's (4 years approximately 3000 miles ?). I feel like I got an awesome deal and wanted to pass on the info to anyone who is interested. I shopped around for a while and went with the Michelin Pilot Road 2 CT's from Jake Wilson (www.jakewilson.com). Since I don't do any track days I went with the Road over the Power series. First time I have gone with a Sport Touring tire over the sport tire so time will tell how it fares.
Anyways, on to the nuts and bolts. A set (front and rear) qualify for Free shipping and I put in the promo code JW009 (which I got from this forum) which is good for $20.00 off so my total for the two tires plus S&H came to $235.98. Very fare IMHO.
Can't wait to get them put on. Local Honda dealer charges $45.00 per tire for mounting, balancing, and disposal which I didn't think was too bad.
Safe riding fellas

$45 per tire?! That's way too much, call around to local, independent bike shops and you should be able to find somewhere to mount and balance for about $10. Good call on the Road 2's, sport touring tires are great for 9/10th's of the stuff you do on a street bike. The only real difference is they'll overheat sooner on the track.

Don't mean to sound like the fly in your ointment, but, the prices must have gone up. There is a thread around here somewhere, we got Powers for $157 and 2CTs for $181, shipped from Jake Wilson with that same code.
$45/tire sounds a little high, but for MOUNTING, BALANCING and DISPOSAL, I suppose that's not too bad.

Actually I did shop around on the M/B/D and the Honda dealer was the cheapest in my area. The other bike shop wanted $55 per tire. There is one other place I could call I guess. Unfortunately, where I live, it is not the bike capital of the world and therefore I am very limited with options....which always sucks when needing help doing any work on my bike

you might be able to save a little on the install if you have the wheels removed from the bike. I change my own tires and around here, the city will pick the old ones up with the trash as long as I call them ahead of time.

I think it's cuz he/she got the ROADS... they cost more.

Exactly - I had been watching the pilot road ct (not 2ct) and just checked, they are 187.98 with coupon.
Damn my D220s still like new with only 1500 miles. Of course I bought those last year front and back for only $125.
