Well my name is Herb and I live in Orem,UT. I just traded my 94 mustang gt that needed a bit of work for a 1998 vtr1000f that has been turned into a street fighter. The bike also has a resonator welded( i know why weld it on because now the header is useless if i want to go back to stock) onto the header. Sounds really good. I got all the plastic fairings and stock headlight and also the stock mufflers so those will be up for sale soon or i would trade for other parts as well. Ummm it has the headlight off a 80's honda and the bike does look pretty good for a naked bike now. LOL anyways it already broke down on me. Voltage regulator went out on me lol and after doing some searches it seems like a common problem. Anyways enjoy the pics and let me know what you think.

It looks like your "resonator" is welded on because the PO went to a two into one exhaust. It would be interesting to see how it runs with a setup like that. My guess woul dbe that it is more restrictive than the stock exhaust. Yes the R/R is a common problem, what is the status of your CCTs?

As far as the ccts go have not looked at them yet. The bike has 40800 miles and the bike has been jetted for the ressonator. As far as the resonator goes it is almost like a straight pipe off the 2-1 header. Right now I had to remove the group d for the voltage regulator so I could get the bike home. I am talking about the ground wire located on the regulator bolt. Anyways I like the bike so far e end though I can't ride it yey

Well got the 08 zx6r voltage regulator on the bike and all I can say is wow. The idle seems more stable and bike fires right up no problem.

Yeah that model is a tight squeeze under the cowl, but worth the effort to fit to the bike. Glad you like it.
