The bald eagle is a sign. Here's my vision: indian style soaring eagle in the foreground with a head-dress and setting sun in the background airbrushed in the the middle of the tank. Swade fringe barends also in order

Ball-buster
Hey Truc,
Not to be a ball-busting know it all, but how thick is the seat gonna be in the front ?
The way it slopes down towards the tank right now and the way the tank comes up I think you knee will be the counterweight for the pain you may experience in your nether regions.
One of the best changes I made was to level the seat out by raising it at the front to meet the VFR tank.
Increased leg room and no sliding into the tank under braking.
But like you said in an earlier post,
"Really appreciate it. I like when people tell me what to do cause I can see how their taste differs with mine. But that doesnt mean Im going to listen to them"

This thread got me interested, just like another build thread on another site did. I don't remember if I found this on this site or another site, but it is a real nice build a guy is doing on a 1985 Yamaha RZ350. The guy has alot of other people doing alot of the machining work for him, but the build is beautiful. Here is the link:

Yes you can do it that way, just measure it to get them symmetrical and drill and insert nutserts or popnuts or whatever brandname you prefer to call it...
Well, yes it does weaken the swingarm some, but I think the consensus between the more knowledgeable members (not me!) last time the question was asked that the difference between welding, which weakens the material unless it's uniformly heat treated afterward (not likely), and doing the nutserts was infinetly small...

Well I was riding to work yesterday short ride and cold... Really cold... Today we got 3 inches of white sh*t... I'm gonna go hibernate in the garage for another week or two...
Atleast I got my swingarm swap to keep me amused... But I have 4 bikes to choose from and can't ride any of them...

Damn you Trucker! If you keep this up you're going to make me end up keeping the Hawk and molesting her in ways I never thought of. and if you do, my wife will hate you (and me) and probably come a 'lookin.
I agree with the others, I don't know how you're gonna sit on the thing but it looks nuts so far!
Keep it up man!

On a side note, it's funny how often a camera will make red look yellow as in this pic:
Personally I think Yellow and White wheel stripes look better than red and white, but then again I am someone who purchased a yellow hawk.

Well, In due time Both the wheel stripes will be red.
Looking at my swingarm angle it looks as though Ive got the rear end jacked way up.
Didnt do a single thing to the bike today. Busy churning out CCT,s all day.
Powdercoated the first blue ones. Yellow ones tomorrow.
