SlowHAWK is an unknown quantity at this point
How to you plan to finish off the plug surface wise?? You gotta watch what you use to cover it as that stuff just loves to melt..... I've seen people coat it with white glue to seal it up, plaster as well... just watch what you use, as I've have models I've made in that foam melt before my eyes because I didn't pay atttention to what I was using!!!

looking good, glad you are making progress again!!

And I hope the CCT's were a good experience so that we can convince you to go into production of other parts too. Hmm, TMBmotorsport fork brace? Or who knows what?

Thanks people. CCT's are coming along nicely. Just bought over 100$ worth of bolts to finish them up. And got the thread seals. Red and black ones will be shipping out this week.

Thanks for your patience.

Slowhawk, I plan on putting a few thick coats of latex paint on the plug before bondo and primer. Hope it works.

in the winter you can turn the fans off and have yourself a seat warmer . I like the tank rough out all the angles look slick.

OK, now I've got a question. I assume that you are using the foam to make a tank cover and you are going to make the real tank underneath the cover out of aluminum. Am I right? If so are you going to finish out your foam and then cover it with aluminum foil and then lay down carbon fiber or fiberglass let the resin dry, pop out the foam and now you have a tank cover?

PS: You have inspired me to make my own mufflers instead of buying some! Thanks!

The angles will remain, just be toned down a bit.

You are right about the tank cover part. Here is what will happen.

Finish the foam tank and tail, and then pull a fiberglass mold off of it.

Using the mold Ill make a carbon fiber 1 piece body.

And yes it will cover the aluminum tank.

Monoposto? Dude, you'll pull so many chicks with this thing, and that's before you tell them you pretty much made it from scratch. And it's not like you'll be able to sneak out of their driveway in the morning with that "muffler."

As most of us are plagued with a 16 ltr petrol tank and a 100 mile tank range will you be taking this into consideration when making the size of your tank or are you making it with aesthetics in mind ?

Just checking in on the progress and I'm really enjoying watching this. It's a good thing you don't live down the street from me with those fab skills, it'd be like an alcoholic having a jack distillery next door

I have been taking it into consideration. But to be honest I have no clue what my tank capacity will be untill I build it. Im hoping to be around 5 gallons.

Truck, this bike is looking so incredibly sweet! I love the way the foam/bodywork is shaping up. And the headlight is awesome. I can't wait to see more!

With that headlight and agular body work it's starting to look like the upcomming KTM Venom...

Your bigger tail section and straight line from the tank to the tail echos the Tunono though.

Nice look, have you considered how hot the projector lenses run (for the plastic in front of them?) Just happen to have a friend with a 999S and his headlights are super hot when he does trackdays (everyone has to tape their headlights up, his are melted within 2 laps. In australia all headlights are fixed to on, you can only turn them to highbeam/lowbeam)
