You need to get a mechanical engineering degree. You'd then have all the modeling tools to do Finite Element, flow modeling, stress analysis etc. You have mad skills.

 

I take back everything I said about the rear sub being too high, With someone sitting on the "beast" the size and dimensions come into there own.
Clearly the "beast" will be bad ***. As for the radiator ?? It will be interesting to see how far your imagination can go to get the heat down.

Well Its still pretty high, but thats how I wanted it. Its got some European style going.

The bike looks pretty big by itself, but when I get on it it looks tiny. And im not very big myself at 130 lbs.

When I broke my leg I lost alot of muscle. I was extremely fit, but then I became Immobile. I was 150 lbs with under 2% body fat. My left quad muscle is basically Gone now. Its hard to walk much less anything else.

 

I think the 05-07 CBR 1000 tailsection had vents built into the sides to help cool the undertail exhaust. might be an option for the undertail rad. Have seen some clean SV front rad conversions also. Just a little more extra weight over the front wheel. These bikes wheelie better than your Duc and that is saying something.

 

Glad to hear you were studying before you got hurt. Get better, stop getting sick, and keep up the awesome work. Hope you can get back to your studies....I see a custom fab shop that can crank out gnarly projects with engineering design to back it up making you good money the rest of your life. exhaust plans have changed slightly. The can will now be under the peg shorty GP style.

2- Never get a serious g/f! All this production will come crashing to a halt and at the rate you go she'll be knocked up with triplets by April.

My Ducati was setup the same way. Not as loud as you would think.

Maybe its just cause im young and it doesnt bother me as much.

Should be only a few months for I build my full system though, and it should be quieter.

 

You'll have to post some sound clips when you get it up and running so I can hear your definition of loud compared to my old ears definition of loud!

 

Well ill give you an example.

I have a friend who lives 2.8 miles away. Thats in a straight line.

I cranked my monster one day tuning it for about a minute and never revved above 5k.

My friend called as soon as I shut it off, said he could hear it.

So I guess it was loud.

That was this exhaust by the way, sounded like a helicopter.

 

ok. Looks like with my Hayabusa controls and stock carbs, I got a 1/4 turn throttle.

I have to make a throttle cable mount, but the 1/4 ratio ought to be fun.

Also both sets of carbs I have, have dynojet needles and springs, so thats a plus.

Ordering 6 plugs and my air filter tomorrow. Its from a 12 cyl Jag.

 

I got a radiator. Its pretty damn beat up, but It will work for now.

That radiator isn't so bad; one of my CR500 radiators compressed nearly an inch on one particular crash. Nothing a thinned out flat-head and a little time can't bring back. Will you be mounting two fans to up air flow through the rad?

Great work so far. That steering damper mount looks awesome.

TIP, if you want this foam cheaper, Break the sheet in half.

I got my sheet half price because it was snapped down the middle.

Then I broke it into 4 pieces to fit it in the car.
