My first VTR, well most of one
My name is Thruxton, im 19 and live outside of Chattanooga TN.
So i got a real good deal on this bike. 1998 vtr. Im used to the power of my 1995 ducati m900, so a 1000 cc 4 valve twin ought to be FUN.
Its obvious the bike is missing ALOT of parts, but i still love it.
It will be a streetfighter. Under tail radiator, handle bars, and some other little trick - hand made parts.
This is what it looks like now.

Nice! I'm 39 and still haven't owned a Ducati! Got A Fox shock with the 'Hawk, that's cool. I'll be interested to see how you like the Honda compared with the Duc, and how you build it up. Keep us posted.

one word, EBAY!!!!!!....be patient and you won't believe the deals! i got a stock pipe for 10 bucks, a rear rim w/ tire and rotor for 100 shipped, a subframe for 25 shipped.....and some other misc. stuff......great deals if you wait it out.

Thanks everyone. Ya the VTR will be my daily ride while i re- build the monster. The monster will be like, well like nothing you have ever seen before.
The VTR will be mostly stock. Aluminum gastank-tail combo which will double as the undertail radiator ducting.

Welcome from another TN boy. Sorry I couldn't hook ya up with the brake stuff. The pic of the Duc by the river is nice. I'll be in Chattanooga Monday for work. Great town. When you get the VTR up and running there are several of us due for a TN group ride.

I have a question. LineArrayNut, would you mind if i stopped by sometime to look at your bike? Im not going to be getting mine untill Thanksgiving and im dying to see one in person so i can start designing my subframe and tank.

yes i have read up on Kai_Ju's bike. And ive seen the rat bike, its great. I know Dr. Schmuckenstein from another forum, but i had not seen the German bike.

I got home tonight and was bored and started building my muffler. Took about an hour and a half. Going for a moto GP look. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK
