My first V twin and intro

Hi everyone , I have just brought my first V twin after seeing and riding one in a local bike shop, the one i took for a spin was a 97 and had 211,000km on the clock and was only a one owner and really tidy. I was so impressed with it i started looking for one with lower km on it and finally found my new baby, a blue beast with only 17.000 miles (2002) and well looked after. Soon after i brought it i started looking for a web site with lots of info on it ..... this was the best choice by far as there seems to be a very good knowledge base here with some very onto it members I plan to upgrade the suspenders as soon as possible with the rear being the first as it has some limitations as i soon found out, i will buy an olins setup for it and get it dailed in and then look at doing something with the front as it seems a bit soft . Im a big beliver in geting the handling sorted as good as it can be rather than modding the engine..... i think the engine is great as it is. I dont do and competitive riding anymore or trackdays as ive been there and done that when i was younger and not so fat lol. But i do ride with some very good riders and want to be able to keepup in the bendy bits which we lots of here in NZ rather than long straights where top speed is more the key to keeping up. So great handling for me is far more important than mad top speed. Im looking foward to modding my bike and gaining information from you guys.... Cheers
