my 99 vtr100f & gas related issue help??

Hi I am new to the forum...I love my superhawk...I have had her for 4 months/3k miles...Everything seems to be perfect except this 1 problem I am having...o.k. so i have my idle set for about 1k-1100 after a nice 10min ride...Sometimes when I am riding and I come to a stop or pull the clutch and let it drop down to idle speed and give it a little rev sumtimes it will just cut off...Sometimes I hear this weird(hard to explain so bear w/ me) like sound coming from, seems to be the gas tank area, it sounds like this little rattle popping sound and sounds totally not normal and has made me look like a noob on multiple occasions just cutting out plus kind of dangerous...Can anyone give me any help, I can provide any details needed to aid in the deciphering of the issue..Thanks in advance for any feedback...does power wheelie great around 3k though has trouble under 3 it seems in general...also was apparently jetted and had 2 brothers on and now i have d&d

Adjust mixture screws to 2 to 2-1/4 turns out (search the forum on this - there is already a ton of info here) and perform a carb synchronization. The bike will run better and stop dying at stops. Also, don't pull the clutch in and coast to a stop greater than about 35 mph. The idle will drop and the bike could stall. This is a known issue with mostly stock bikes and nothing can be done to fix the problem, as it's black box related.
