Moving from a superhawk to an RC51?

If I was to make this move, what should I expect? I'm 6'6", how much more uncomfortable is it going to be?

I don't remember the thread but I remember a rider who was moving away from the Superhawk to another manufacturer. I asked him if he had tried the RC51 before making his decision and that was the first thing he said. "I'm tall and I can't stand the cramped up riding position." I cannot remember who he was going to - sorry but I do remember it was away from Honda.

6'6"??? Isn't the Superhawk uncomfortable now??

The RC has a much more aggressive riding position. If you do a lot of canyon riding, you won't notice. If you have to commute on the RC, then you'll really feel the cramped settings. I commuted for a month on my buddy's RC, and I really felt bad not using the bike in the canyons - it's much more at home in the twisties.

The superhawk was fine, but it's smashed into little peices now...

So, how about moving from a superhawk to an interceptor?

That, you'd have to ask superbling about (he has a VFR800). I hear those things are the bees-knees. And it already comes with the SSS mod.

I had an '02 RC51. I traded it for the 1000RR. Don't expect long rides or happiness in traffic. Great on the track though. I was draggin' knee after 5 laps on the stock 208ZRs on an unfamiliar track.

I wouldn't know. Mine's not street-legal.

i sold my RC51 in june and ended up on a superchicken. The RC can be BRUTAL if the is any comuting involed in your riding, though it is much faster and quicker then the HAwk, the suspenssion is a lot stiffer. the RC is a RACE bike and should be on the track it does best at an angle. If I had one at my disposal id put some MX bars on it and modify the pegs to be more forward to sit upright..Im 5'10" and thought that it fit me pretty well --6'6" may be a little large..but you would have a eaiser time throwing that 425lb beast around

I find the RC has more legroom, but you are more hunched over.

I didn't find it uncomfortable, just different.
