mounting stock exhaust
I just put the stock exhaust back on, after replacing all the gaskets. Everything didn't quite line up perfectly the first time. Question # 1 is, just to be sure I did it right, both the upper and lower exhaust cannister mounting tabs go on the INSIDE of the mounting brackets correct? So from the outside in, it would go bolt, washer, rubber gromet and bracket, exhaust cannister tab, then nut. Question # 2 is, I attempted to torque the exhaust bands to the spec 20ft lbs, but never got that high. I tightened them until they nearly bottomed out, and it looked like the bolt was even starting to bend, but it still wasn't 20 ft lbs, so I quit while I was ahead. Any ideas? (the torque wrench is accurate, so it's not that)
Thanks!
Thanks!
