More power!

Hi, friends.

These days i put a transmision kit on my storm, with 15/42 sprockets. I wait that this way make me happy with the gas response, but is not sufficient... The first throttle response is good, the bike want to jump forward, but after this first moment, the bike not push like me.

I don't know if i am looking for miracles. Maybe the storm will be ever a "soft" bike (It seems to be that Honda search easy motorcycles for all people type and this is my problem).

Can the storm to turn into a monster in the mid range?? How?? More hp?

I have only arrow cans, without rejetting, not open air filter (i have the original). I don't agree that this is the problem, but i need to know your opinion.

If I obtain that storm push forward how i want, will be have bike for years... The only problem then will be the excesive consumption of fuel but i can live with that.

Thanks very much for all your opinion. I estimate very much everything your answers.

I´m spanish, excuse my english.

Best regards!!

PD: Gearing 15/42 makes speedo error... but too the total milles counter, no??

The VTR will never be capable of beating Hayabusas. However, there are some things that can be done to help things a bit. If you want more mid-range, I found that replacing the intake runner on the front cylinder with a long one as used on the rear cylinder made a noticeable difference in low and mid-range power. A jet kit (DynoJet or Factory, both have their supporters and detractors) and a dyno tuning would help too.

To go anywhere above that requires you to spend money with internal modifications. You could also try lightweight wheels if you can get your hands on some but again, $$$$$$

Good luck

Longer intake on the carb? How big of a difference did you notice on that?
