more mods coming :)
Woohoo! it's mod season again
I just picked up a set of CBR900RR forks on eBay and will installing them on my VTR. My first choice was a set of USD forks from an RC51 but I quickly realized that finding the support hardware (triple clamps, wheel,...) would be tough and expensive. The CBR9 forks are much more rigid (45 mm), fully adjustable and allow me retain my PVM magnesium front wheel and stock rotors. I also picked up a 2005 R1 radial front MC. With a 16 mm piston (as opposed to the 11/16" unit I currently have), it will generate more line pressure (hence more grip) and the raidal design will give me better feel too. I also bought a CBR900RR swingarm and will be cutting and welding the brace onto my swingarm (before sending it off for powdercoating). Finally, I will be converting my VTR to a 2-1 exhaust using the Blue Flame dual outlet can I picked up. Looking forward to riding the ol' girl

You can check the vtr1000.org site too, a few folks there have done the conversion.
Foiund this:"As the Blade legs are shorter than the Storm ones the forks sit flush with the top yoke."
