May he rest in peace

I didn't know Bob but Bob did me the biggest favor one could have asked for.
When I purchased my 2nd Superhawk, one of the items I really wanted to get my hands on was an HRC Ignition Module for the Superhawk.
I had one on my first Hawk and was adament about having one on my second one. Unfortunatly, the person I purchased my first one from was no longer in the industry (Kio Watanabe) so I called up Big Valley Honda asked them about this item, they had stated that they were no longer handling HRC or Moriwaki for the VTR and that I should get in touch with a Bob Hayashida and I did.
I called up Bob explaining what it was I was looking for and if he could possibly procure one for me, alas Bob said he couldn't help me out and I was good with that becasuse if Bob couldn't get one then I don't think no one could.
The next thing I know i get a call back from Bob asking me if I were really serious about getting an HRC Ignition Module for the VTR Superhawk, again I stated that I had one on my previous VTR and the performance upgrade that it provided, well the next thing I know Bob is telling me that he actually had one laying around and that he would sell it to me for X amount of $$.
No problem I said, since that was the same amount that I had paid for my 1st one, Bob stated that he would ship it to me and if it worked out just send him a check.
I received it, worked as I had expected and I sent Bob a check.
What can you say about a man who I didn't know or even meet that would ship out an item such as the HRC Ignition Module to someone he has never met on his word that he would send him a check back.
RCVTR I sorry for your loss and now I am sorry for the loss of a good man who I have never met who did me the greatest favor by selling me a very hard to get item so that I could continue on with my project, a man who died to early (I myself am 54)
but now I have a small part of his legacy and will remember Bob for what he did for me everytime I spin my VTR up.
God speed Bob Hayashida, and thank you.

Yeah Bob was always willing to help out. My dealings with him started when I picked up my HRC jet kit.
He went out of his way to help me get it dialed in (even though I got the kit from Kio Watanabe). Things just kind of went from there.
So any of you that have read or are trying the carb set up I posted a few weeks ago need to thank Bob because without him I wouldn't have the info to post.
I also forwarded the info to Dan Kyle as I didn't know if he had heard this sad news.

Rand,
sorry about the ignition module, didn't mean too, when the time comes that I either sell my Superhawk as is or if I return it to stock and then sell the performance parts, I will make sure that I get in touch with you so that you may get the module.

I have no need for it. I'm glad to hear that it has been put to good use!
