Just Brought some Dunlop D207s off of ebay $89 plus $10 ship
Just got my new tires today. I bought 2 brand new Dunlop D207 190/50/17 rear tires off of ebay, only $89 plus $10 shipping. I paid through paypal and the tires were to me in 2 days. This guy has has like 990 more of them left to sell. Its a good price considering the 207 is still a great sticky street tire. If your looking for a rear tire you may want to check out this auction. I know your wandering if a 190 series will fit, and yes they do because my last rear tire was a 190 Avon Azaro and it handled great for me and fit perfectly with no rubbing, lots of space to spare, and my buddy had a 190 D204 on his Superhawk with no problems. This is a great deal if you dont have a lot of money.

This guy is in Florida, so you may want to email him before you buy just to see if the shipping will be affected by the hurricane that is about to hit florida.

Not a bad price, but for I would rather have the Pilot Roads for $210 shipped... they suit my needs much better.
As far as going with a 190, not sure why anyone would want or need to. The only reason to go up to a 190 is if you have a problem spinning the 180s, which is doubtful with the amount of power out bikes make.
Going to a 190 also negatively affects handling, making turn in slower. Also, putting a wider tire on the stock rim cause the tire to lose the desired contour which can also lead to handling issues.
I recommend that anyone getting new tires should stick to the 180 Rear.
Regards,

Sorry you feel that way about a 190, but Ive ran 190s on my bike since the first time I replaced the stock tires and I know 2 others that have ran 190s on their bikes also and never had a problem or complaint. I have been riding for years and usually can feel a difference in performance, but did not feel a dramatic difference as you stated. I can see if we were knee dragging at a track and the steering was sluggish, but we ride back roads and its not to smart to knee drag on back roads. We never have had a problem performance wise with the 190. Have you ever ridden with a 190? If not then you should not critisize something you have only heard of being a bad idea. Sorry, Im not trying to be rude, but this is my own persoal opinion, as you have yours and I have a right to it.

Curious if you have directly compared a high-end 180 series tire to a high-end 190 series tire. If you went from the stock 204s to a high-end 190, then there is no basis for comparrison as ANY high-end tire will feel light-years ahead of the crappy 204.
By all means, the deal you got on those tires is pretty good. BUT, for $30 more you can get a better, newly designed, and longer lasting tire in the Pilot Roads at $210 shipped from www.tireexpress.com.

Ok, I will take your advice, the next rear tire I buy, I will buy the most current 180 rear and compare. But until then, Im going to wear this 190 out. Thanks for giving constructive criticism and not getting personal.
