hello
Trying to post a picture of my '98 Hawk, I have been almost end to end reading and wanted to thank everyone for ALL the great info. There have been a ton of things I have found and could probably go on and never need to post, but that wouldnt be fun at all. I think there is a picture here , I love this bike. Any tips for posting larger pics ? Thanks to info on CCT's I will be replacing mine very soon,

The size of the photos you can load directly to the forum is vastly inadequate and difficult to shot originals that small with a modern camera. I do have an old Olympus that will shoot this format so when I need a shot that I can upload quickly it gets the job done great. It's about the only thing I keep it around for anymore. I tried every which way to kill that camera - technology finshed the job so it just hangs out for bike jobs.

yeah flamingos were a midnight stab in the lawn and run gift from a wacky friend. The one with dreds is a rastamingo . I will give photo bucket a look , thanks for that. Wheels are CNC made by High point I think, PO added those, an Ohlins rear, CBR900 forks, SS lines, Galfer rotors, all the Carbo Tech carbon, then fell off and let her sit for the last 8 years.
I just installed Factory Pros 1.7 jet kit, but since I can only ride it on the track it will be a couple of weeks before I get there again. ( although foolishly I have done a couple on, /off ramps in the past ) I have some of the street legal parts and may just improvise something so I can street legal it again, much better than getting caught on a track bike on the interstate..

How can you not ride it on the street. It seems like it shouldn't take too much to make it street legal, not counting loud exhaust.
Oh, and I have 2 pink flamingos in my back yard as well. It's an American tradition.

That is what I keep thinking also, all the dot electrics are off, but it is DMV'd as non op only, so a make shift tail light, I have the lic plate, a mirror , I dont want to cut the fairing for a headlight, but I bet I could fake that with a decal , I live in Oakland, do they even care ?, not likely, so I am thinking about it. Just for tuning purposes, you know.

Use a small projector headlamp... About 2-3" in size... it should be enough to be legal and easy to fit inside the front of the fairing... Also a pair of high intensity red LED's in the rear for light, and another pair for brake light should do the trick...

That is a great idea, the LED's should be easy enough, but the projector lamp will run on a 12 volt system ?
