I know what you mean..... for the last few years, if you did a track day in my area you had a good chance of running into this young lady:

She did embarrass many folks who thought they were fast.....
It was good to she win at Infineon this this year but the biggest news was this:

And yeah, a really pretty girl, but that doesn't matter on track... Then she's just another rider to me... But yeah, If I rolled up next to her in the pits as she removed her helmet after beating me on track, I'd definetely do a double take... Or three, four...

by the 4th youre not looking anymore youre remembering for later, lol.
i dont think id wanna ride a gp bike. im pretty confident it would end with me glued to an advertisement for seatbelt safety or something really ironic.

I have ridden several GP bikes... Both the old 500 two strokes, and the 990's... But I have yet to get my hands on a current crop 800... Of the two types the 500 was the most "fun"... Talk about bucking bronco... The 990's are docile pussycats in comparasion... But I really, really wanna try the 800's...

Uchi, congrats on the trackday, i'm jealous. I'll do one eventually. Where'd you get the leathers at half-price?
As to the young riders, my buddies 14yr old son just got his adult racing license. Did the course on Saturday, went out Sunday in his first race on his RS125 and took a podium finish, 3rd place. He's currently the points leader for his division on his NSR50. May see him racing Pro someday, can only hope the best for him.

thanks erik, ebay for the pants, brand new much cheaper than any stores, and sportsbiketrackgear for the jacket, they had it on clearance for 140, everyone else was 280 - 310, even after exchange and shipping it was still significantly cheaper than anyone else i could find. its all teknic stuff, teknic mercury to be exact. pants and jacket are both perforated, they both breathe quite well even on warmer days.
tweety, i rode a buddys 99 honda cr500 2 stroke dirt bike a few weeks back. you wanna talk about a wild ride. third gear half throttle she stands me up and im 244, lol. hes about 160ish and said itll stand up in 5th with him on it no problem. that thing was silly fast

Then add the fact that it snatches, grabs, lurches and generally tries to buck you off at low speed, unless you get it above 50-60 mph where it's much happier... And once you pass that limit it then instead proceeds to scare the **** out of you with acceleration that can be compared to the hawk from a rolling start... I accidentally got the rearwheel loose on a 5-6'th gearchange on the straight... And I wasn't even trying to go fast...

Yeah, well... Then consider that on a "roadbike" with a chassie that flexes a bit, rock hard race suspension, "wide" tires that are close to todays 600's and about 160-170 bhp, no idle what so ever, a revlimiter somewhere around jupiter and a truck load of bad attitude... Those things are angry, to say the least...
