Greetings From The FNG

Short intro. Been interested in riding for a number of years, finally got around to it about 2 years ago. Started on a V30 Magna, moved to a V65 Magna, then bought V45 just because it was a cherry.

Lookin' to upgrade to a sportbike without dipping into the wallet I started posting my bikes up on CL, ended up trading for a 98 SH in real good shape with just over 14k miles on it. I've had it for five days and so much for not hitting the credit card......

......Trying not to dump a ton of money into it but it's very hard and I've spent hundreds of dollars already. I just put on Motovation Frame sliders and bar end weights the other day, as well as tank grip pads from techspec. Waiting for Metzeler Z6 Interacts, Front/Rear Stands, Lockhart Phillips 3 Flushmounts, Spider Grips (I use them on all my bikes), Ventura L-Bracket and Grab bar.

Welcome. Ideas and suggestions on this forum sure are helpful but they might not be the best match for your wallet. Do you have any photos of the new ride yet?

Thanks for all the welcomes. I ordered an aluminum shifter from a fellow forum guy (Jamie, daughertymotorsports.com), bought a cbr shock off ebay to send him when I have the money to have it modded, followed a link for the Ventura packages and ordered L brackets and a grab bar, just sent my seat off today, monday, to Spencer down in florida (greatdaytoride.com), bought some Krieger and TPro Forcefield gear from eric at superbikestore.net. I'm on the fence about forks....and...... the tires are on. . . .... WOO HOO!!!!!

I hate and love you guys already!!!

I'll take some pics tomorrow of the "work in progress". I think I still might like a Corbin or Sargent but I think I missed the most recent sale in classifieds.

Sandbox,

Just curious how does the Superhawk compare to the V65 in acceleration?

LOL. That's exactly what I was thinking. Here's some pics....
I read some people complaining about how far out their frame sliders are from the bike. These require fairing mod but are VERY low profile, and are highly regarded. Reviews at webbikeworld.com
