German chapter thread :-)

You're a wise man!
For the same reasons I'll not join german forum!
Bye
PS. Is there someone on the german forum that have done a single can exhaust for the VTR?
#124
Yes, there are some. One of those is Highlander, he's also a member of the USA-forum, yiu might p.m. him. Or go to the german forum and watch out for highlander's posts... Or wait, I'll give you a link in minute...
But the one big disadvantage is the power loss. About 15-20 PS. And some Nm, too... So I wouldn't do it. Also cause I like the double exhaust look...!!
Here's one link with the diagram...

And here's another one...

Its quite unbeliavable!!!!
Also cause I like the double exhaust look...!!
Anyway, I think that using the right diameters for the silencer can let it reduce power loss.
I'd lke to know what kind of single silencer they used on their bikes.

Hey,
if you see it that way, ok. But I like the loók and I won't sacrify it...
The first link ( Stally ) got the silencer from a Kawasaki ZX10R. If you read the diagrams you will see that they tried a lot with different carb settings and ignition box mappings and much stuff like this. They are really experts at this. I don't now exactly what they were doing. But it must be a matter of settings...
The second link ( Highlander ) used a leovince pipe for a fireblade. But he didn't write which one. He lost about 10Nm in the middle and he cooperates with Higgens. He's our "Tuning God", he customized and setted the bike. Really don't now what he did.
Those are the really good bikes with single exhaust. Heard about few more trying and failing... But I didn't really care, cause I like mine for it's look...

I think that my bike will keep up twin silencers!!!
If those two good tuners were not able to cut down power loss, it's impossible for me to do better. Unless I'll have a big stroke of luck!!!
As I said, I'd like to lighten the bike, but I'm not willing to lose 15 hp for 3 Kg!
Thanks

Na ja mal sehn, was die nächsten Jahre so bringen

Oh yeah, right. The bilingual thread...
Another swingarm? Hmm, what kind of? Like the RC36 or a longer two arm? Or with Undergo or Üppergo? Or just polish it? Or am I asking too much? ( Just wanna keep the Thread alive... )
What's up Riccardo and Tweety? Still out there?

And the french too ... just starting to collect parts for my front brake upgrade:
GSXR 600-750 2001-03 4 pots Tokico were arrived yesterday, and now I'm looking for the front master cylinder, maybe one frome an SP1 (19 mm) or a 954 (17.4mm).
I don't really know which will be the best with those calipers.. any advices ?

I would choose 19". But if I had to change, then a radial one. But costs a little more. I'm also searchinh for one, I have the stock VTR's with the CBR900RR Brake ( complete ), works great... Just cause of the design. Those small radials look great!!

Loose translation: "In heaven there is no beer that is why we drink it here".
I'm not sure about the spelling in Deutsche, but I've always wanted to use this Smilie.....
