Fun with lowballers. haha

I posted my VTR for $2800. Here is the email correspondence between myself and another character.

My response:

The rear shock isn't rusted out, just the spring is pitting and has rust on it. Functionally, it's fine.
69,xxx miles on the clock. It sounds like alot, but there are a bunch with 100k+ and are running fine, plus Honda's run forever.

Shoot me back an email if you're still interested.

My response:

$1500, that's a pretty good offer. However, I found you a great alternative!

Mine:
Who you ask? Well, apparently you wanted my golden egg for $1500. Don't be butt hurt that you didn't get your lowball offer accepted. Also, the bike actually has 69,000 miles, not 60,000. Hahahaha. Have fun with that '81 Suzuki.

Mine:

Good sir, I would like to clairify a few things.

1. Infants and 7-9 year olds do not have the capability to ride a motorcycle, let alone post up a neatly compiled advertisement on craigslist.
According to the Heartland Report, a study published by the Nebraska Department of Education, children aged 7-9 will emotionally and socially:

- Show increased signs of self confidence
- Eagerly take on tasks and actvities
They are however, sensitive to criticism and may display feelings of success or failure, based on how adults respond to them.

It is not until ages 11-13 that children will start to understand cause and effect, seek to broaden knowledge and begin to understand the many ways people interpret things.

So you see, I have to be at least 11 or 13, so I guess you are close.

2. You initially addressed me as an infant, but then later on inquired wether I was 7 or 9. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, let's say that the 7 and 9 guess was a range of age, rather than two seperate ages. Even then, how can I be an Infant and a 7-9 year old at the same time? Your logic does not make sense.

3. Given the above is true, it is grossly inappropriate to be calling anyone in that age range "********" and "shitfuckers".
Society frowns upon that, even I know this.
I am ashamed of you.
can't wait to see his response

edit:
he responded with two emails, hahaha

P.S.
How large of a piece did you think I was? The average size is about 8 inches. Also, what is a "bike dick"?

I Love your response where you linked to the GS1000. It was so upbeat and helpful sounding, then the bomb went off clicking the link. Interested to see how this unfolds. My only Craig's list experience was fantastic, that's where I bought my Hawk.

Man, why give away so much of your energy to someone like this? On the racetrack when someone crashes in front of you, you must force yourself to look UP the turn to not target fix and follow him off into the dirt. You just rode yourself right into the dirt for no reason. Keep looking UP (where you want to go). PEACEOUT

I sold a few bikes on CL. If the reply is too low, I don't bother with it. (Next). Too many others out there that will pay close to what I want for asking price. I mean if I wanted to sell it for pennies I would have listed it in the ad.

The easy answer for "Why?" is, it's winter, and we can't put our energy into riding. So we amuse ourselves in different ways.

Yeah CL is like that with jerkoffs....

I was getting rid of some furniture on CL during the fall... a guy negotiated 40% off the asking price on the phone PRIOR to coming and getting it (which I was fine with, I wanted it gone ASAP)... then AFTER helping him load it in his car, He hands me $20 less than we agreed to and said he wanted another $20 off. I laughed and said "No, we agreed already to a price that was lower than I was asking, it is what it is..." I put my hand out for the other 20 of which he had a boat load of cash in his wallet... He then BEGGED, and I mean BEGGED for $10 off to cover his f-ing tolls and gas!!! His wife even got out of the car to ask me to take the $10 off!!! At this point, I started got pissed opened his van doors and started to unload the furniture... after the second piece hit the driveway pavement, he handed me a 20 and left annoyed!!!! Some people are just ridiculous!!!!

(AND back on topic.... I agree you're bike is reasonably priced with that Ohlins shock included)

$2800 is a good price for the bike, but if you can't get it I could always trade you some old used up tires, an old washer & dryer that doesn't work, a cracked helmet, a few gas cans that leak and to sweeten this deal I could always throw in the soiled underpants from when I cracked my helmet.

Let me know

I am curious as to why he did not buy the bike with half the miles for $2K.

But please post his reply, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing while reading your post.

That's some funny ****. While I always ask if someone is flexible on price, I figure asking for 25% off is about as far as anyone is going to go, and even that is pushing it. Asking for half off and then talking ****, what a douche. I usually just ignore retarded offers, but that's a funny response. Well played.

That and referencing "what is a bike dick?" about made me fall out of my chair.
