Frame Sliders or Crash Cages?
I am looking for protection. So far, this is what I've found. I would appreciate comments. Thanks everyone!

I wondered about the 905 cage too. I have the t-rex style sliders, never been down with them but they are supposed to work pretty well. I did some searching and couldn't even find a pic of a superhawk with the 905 cage but have heard that there can be problems with bumping you knees on them on other bikes.

I've got the LSL sliders on my 2001 VTR. I haven't tested them yet but I don't see how the stock turn signals could survive a tipover. Maybe that's asking too much. The fairing doesn't have to be cut to install them. The plates on which they're mounted don't look like the ones on the Suzuki. The sliders bolt onto the plates rather than directly into the motor mounts.

Debates on whether sliders work have raged before. I'm still of the opinion that case guards like the 905s are the way to go. I have a 3-point mount variation no longer available that does not intefere with my knees. Call and ask about the 905s, I think they are a possibly great alternative to sliders. They may be somewhat ugly but for me, its always function over form; plus you can throw some driving lights on them. LOL. I use the LP Type 3 3-wire front TS, the OE TS will punch out the back of the fairing in just a tip-over.

Ooooh, your'e DM. Strombosis and 19" front doughnut and pray to the lord posture with pseudo dirt function no thanks (try one, especially the 1k on even a groomed fire rode), PC trastic plastic with guts rusting away hidden from view and a big pain to get to (I've worked on PCs) in your dreams, old Conjob was early 80s tech long past due and none too smooth new Confob is a pig and even worse to wrench on.
