Fixing the mirror rattle
My drivers side mirror rattles like you wouldn't believe when I first start up the 'hawk, and most of the time while sitting at redlights. Sometimes it's not too bad, but other times, it sounds like the dreaded death rattle of an engine with no oil in it. Just push on the mirror alittle bit...and it quits. Does anyone elses do this? It's only the one mirror too.

Yesssssss! My '98 Fire Storm does the same sometimes and it freaked me out the first few times I heard it. It seems to go away and then come back some other times.
I'm thinking of putting a little clear silicone with a toothpick or something in the space between the mirror and it's frame; then cleaning it with a razor blade when it cures.

Mine used to but that's because one of the welds broke loose on the stalk that the mirror is mounted to.
Grab the mirror and look under your fairing. shake the mirror around a little and see what you've got. If it's broken, you'll see what I mean right away unless it's a problem that's just starting. Mine took about 1 year before it got bad enough that I took the whole thing to get welded up again.
