First post...looking at Superhawks in LA
Hi all!
I've been lurking here last couple of days.
Guess I've always wanted a Superhawk, and have entered "negotiations" on a clean one not too far away. It's a 2003, and looks like it has hardly been ridden, and pretty well maintained, too. Think it has about 3500 miles.
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself, and say how glad I am to be here!

Hope things go well with your deal. Superhawk riders are a special breed and I think the driving force is the raw power, its incredible handling even for a novice rider and Honda reliability. Welcome to the forum. If things go well maybe you can post up some pictures of your new purchase!

If you need a service manual, I think we have one on this forum somewhere...? If not, let me know. I've got a few burned onto CD (.pdf) lying around.

Ah bummer. Looks like my deal fell apart. I think they're on crack-wanting way over high retail blue book. I guess I understand now why the bike has been there for months...
Are there still any new '05s around?

Check out Bert's. Now, normally I would not recommend that place, but you aren't a n00b, and the bike you want is not in demand either. Last time I was there, they had several (more than three) blue, 03's, in the "Red Tag Sale" cage. Each was $5999 + fees, but if they are still there by now (two months have elapsed), then I'm sure you can work out a sweet deal.

I'm home, but won't have access to my work email until tomorrow. Would you please send the info to racerxlilbro@yahoo.com?
Thanks!

Used SHawks
Check out Cal Coast Motor Sports in Ventura.... Good website, and they got two Shawks... one read, one yellow.... I saw the yellow one recently, and it looked pretty clean.... the shop has been there for years, and I haven't ever heard anything bad about them...... Thousand Oaks Honda also recommended them to me last year when I was looking to upgrade to an RC51.... The Honda service manager is close friends with the owner out there...... Good luck... And if you are ever out this way, let me know so we can zoom Mulholland.....
