Finally got it!

Hello everyone!

I finally got my 1998 SH. It has a load of accessories (some pricy stuff), it's red (of course), and it rides beautifully.

I rode it in Colorado, and thought it was pretty quick up there. When it got to Texas, the extra O2 it's getting has turned it into a beast!

I am very happy with it. It has been well taken care of, and only has 14000 miles on the odo.

I get somewhere between 38 and 40 mpg while commuting. It gets around 30 mpg playing.

Does anyone know a good source for mirror extensions?

I'm proud to be part of the family. Everyone thinks the SH is cool, and beautiful. I even get compliments from the Harley riders. They love the fit and finish, and the exhaust note.

I'll post a pic when I figure out how.

Thanks,

Jim

Congrats and welcome to the forum. I have the genmar mirror extenders and they do provide better adjustability... There should be lots of info on mirror mods on here, try the search function for more info.

Thumbs up mirror extensions

Get some bar end mirrors. That'll clean up the look of the bike too.

A Yoshimura full exhaust system (with carbon fiber cans), helibars, stage 1 jet kit, braided steel brake lines (front and back), dark tinted wind screen, tank bra, new dunlop tires, K&N filter/breather, lower fairing (shark skin?), flush mount turn indicators, fender eliminator, super bike grips, and I think a speedo-healer was installed.

999 owners impress easily; they have the ugliest bike ever made -until that new V-Max came out
