Ebay jokes?

This should probably in the rant section. I was just looking around ebay for anything interesting and found some outrageous "deals"! Superhawk frame, $1500.00! Gas tank, $550.00, seat and tail fairing $350.00! Are they kidding? I actually sent a message to the guy with the gas tank asking if he realized you could buy an entire superhawk in good shape for around $2500! Hell, if they get that much for parts, I have enough spare stuff in my garage for another superhawk!

I saw them too. it said "mint", I believe. Not sure what one would cost new from a dealer, but he wanted basically about $1500 for the entire body.

Those are the guys that list high then realize they have there **** way over priced and are stuck with it. They will eventually start lowering their price every time they re-list and if they are lucky they will get a third of what a new on costs. I think some people are still in the dark ages with selling bikes, cars, parts whatever online, but it is so easy to get any info. on anything and compare prices in seconds on the internet that no body falls for that crap anymore. Ebay sellers will eventually get it, but some sellers just don't take the time to see what their **** is going for and that is lazy as hell...

Gentlemen- I know where a 1998, complete superhawk is here in buncombe county for what that idiot is asking for the fuel tank... I saw those items on e-bay- and had the same reaction as RanchOmice..

I messaged him also awhile back. It's ridiculous, but he'd now actually have to sell that crap for that much to cover the fees for relisting it all over and over for the last few months. Even crazier is that if you look in his feedback he's actually found some folks brilliant enough to buy some of his used stuff for that much... With his prices and his "logo" over his pics I guess he thinks he's the only one to ever lay his hands on used superhawk parts. Ronayers.com sells brand new stuff for as much or less than he's asking for used.

So I'm not the only one that saw that stuff and thought that guy is nuts. I can't imagine anyone paying those prices for used parts. Dude needs a reality check if you ask me.

Here is the opposite of what you are talking about. A 1999 Superhawk that is supposedly in good condition, with Jardine pipes and an Ohlins shock. A no-reserve auction currently only at $1,186 with 2 days left. I'm tempted to bid just to sell it again, or part it out.

The Ohlins alone is $1300ish new and $500-$800 hundred used. It's at $1300 as of 4pm today

Saw a tail section off a 98 red hawk for 550 buy it now! Tail, seat and cowl. Of course he had his list of what the OEM replacements (minus his dings, scratches and age) which came out to a bit more.... ugh

The bike ended up selling for $1668. Ohlins shock, Jardine pipes, clean, and fresh paint (which might be a bad thing). I would have swooped in and bought it if I had a place to put it right now. Makes me wonder what mine's worth???
