I am in Davis,CA 15 miles west of sac on I-80. I don't have any personal experience with shops in sac. But there is a small independent shop in Davis run by a guy named Jeff, He is one of the best mechanics I have met. He is not VTR specific but i have seen a lot of hondas in his shop cruiser and sport bikes.
He is the first guy to tell that you don't need something done or if there is some thing that doesn't need immediate attention as opposed to many other shops where they tell you need random things done.
BTW what kind of problem do you have with the bike?
