Decent Roads in NJ????????????

I think South Jersey is pretty much full of flat, straight roads. I know northern Passaic and Sussex Counties have some nice hilly, twisty roads, but they aren't any closer to you than good roads in Pa.

I like to start my ride in washington's crossing. Just take 295 N to Rt 29. Take Rt 29 North for about 20min thru Trenton and you will end up in Washington's Crossing (only 5 min of city driving). At washington's crossing you can cross over to PA and ride up to New Hope or stay on the NJ side heading North on 29 or one of the many other roads into the NW part of NJ (519 is nice). I usually head up there, get lost and then find my way home when it starts getting dark.
For a longer ride you can go all the way to High Point/Deleware Water Gap/Hawk's nest.

Northern NJ/NY area (Bear Mountain and north of that point) is good if you want to drive that far... and I agree with kfkraenz.... the Delaware Water Gap (in Pa.) is nice as well... my parents had a summer place in the poconos and that area is loaded with nice winding mountain roads.

519 looks good. http://www.motorcycleroads.us/roads/nj-cr519.html
Also, if you're going up into N. Jersey, try Glenwild Avenue up out of and north of Bloomingdale. It runs the edge of Norvin Green State Forest up into West Millford Township and the top of Wanaque Reservoir. Lots of good roads up there.
