check your buttons

for those with full floating rotors, check them every once in a while. my brakes were fine and i had zero slack in them last year and even this year, but i took the wheel off for something and must have shaken the crap out from around the buttons. ive always had a little side to side play but i noticed i had alot of front to back play on there, alot more than i ever had. anyways, replaced the buttons with new ones today, and were back in business. once i figured out a little trick to get the c clips back on i was about to do each rotor in about 5 minutes after removing it. even made a little before and after video.

Good to know, man. Always nice to learn from other experiences.... and nice to know that it's only a 5 min (post wheel removal) fix.

yeah ots really easy once you figure out how to get them on and off. removal is simple, i used a small flat head screwdriver, shoved it under the clip where it opens, pried up and out they come. you can put them in with 2 screw drivers but that takes a while. i ended up using a pair of spanning pliers, when you squeeze them together the end opens up. i opened up the new clip just enough to get it to go on the new button and then it would stay there by itself, and then id click it into place with a flat screwdriver by just pushing down. simple enough to do.
