CCT's - Where to buy?
I have been reading around this site and a lot of the talk is cam tensioners. Are the Ape manuals the best or are there others that you guys recommend? If so where can a guy from Canada like me get some of these for a reasonable price. If I have to go to the US I will.
My bike is an 01. Are all the hawks prone to this type of failure or just the pre 00's?
Thanks.
Dave

Yeah, they all get it and it's not just the Hawks, CBR's have a CCT, the VFR after '01 went back to cam chains - dumbest **** in the book - but, no, we're not alone. Sudco distributing has them - I got mine through a local Parts Unlimited dealer.
If you're in Austin, cool guy at IC Cycles on Pond Springs Road.
If you're not in Austin check the Parts Unlimited site for a list of shops near you. If I understand this network right, these are all small, locally owned shops that service tires, batteries, OEM parts, etc.
I am not affiliated - just works for me.

http://www.aperaceparts.com/ states on there web site they ship internationally, so give them a shot. I'm going to order mine through another web site that I work with, they have a parts side to the forum, and Parts Unlimited is one of there suppliers.... If I can get um that way, I'll post up. As I know this other place ships to Canada often.

Here's the e-bay link to the guy I bought mine from 2 weeks ago. He is very fast with shipping and also sells the CCTs for 45.00 and gaskets for 3.00 each. This is about as cheap as you will find these.
