So I just back back from a group ride through western Wisconsin with about thirty guys (and a few girls) from my local forum. We were cruisin down some county road, I don't remember which, at something like 80-90. Suddenly, completely out of nowhere, the biggest and loudest thing I have ever seen fly's by at about mach 5. Scared the hell out of me. Now he's well out in front of our group and one of our guys breaks off to chase him down. Our guy gets up along side of him on his 600rr. Then the sickest thing I can imagine happened. The boss hits the f-ing nitrous and lays down a patch of rubber a quarter of a mile long. And this from a speed already at 100 or better. Let's just say the RR didn't stand a chance, I don't think a turbo 'busa woulda stood a chance. The crazy bastard was in a t-shirt and no helmet.

My dad has one of those damn things . His is the small block version (LT1 350) with no nitrous . That bike is the scariest thing I have ever ridden ! I doesnt stop or turn worth a **** ! All it does ( as you witnessed today ) is go in a straight line VERY VERY FAST ! The last time I rode it ...I swore I would never ride it again !

I see those things for sale sometimes, I always wondered who would buy one? They are like $30K-40K. There was someone selling one of those on craigslist that had a zz502 big block with 500+horse. . Definitely can get a turbo busa or R1 built for half that and you could at least stop and turn it or get the f. n thing off yourself if it fell over on you in the driveway. Who wants to balance a big block while pushing it out of the garage? Some people just have too much money. I never thought anyone would ride one of those much less floor it. I guess I was wrong.

Saw one yesterday coming off the freeway and heading up Ortega. He had a hard time negotiating the left hand turn off the freeway. I don't know how he managed the twisties.
That's the second one I've seen, both with Small Block Chevy's. Both had trouble turning.
I think a cast iron Small Block V8 weighs about as much as my entire bike.
And how do you stop one of those behemoths in an avoidance maneuver?

Just when I think I've got the final version nailed down, I have to completely re-do the report back to the home planet on the culture here.
It took six months to be clear about the gay pride parade in San Fran, now this! There isn't a guide book, no clarification for context, function eludes, not even a racing class.
Through all the confusion, though, I've felt welcomed.

And to think I considered it ugly as stock... brrrr...
The girlie is nice though... Altough that bike makes her look very, very small...
BTW are we absolutely sure they need a sidestand on those things?

A guy from the area had one with the 502. Thing was massive...emphasis on the "was". He laid it down at a fairly slow speed and it tumbled. That 502 just ripped the bike to pieces. Nothing left but the engine.
Those bikes are built in 2 halves and welded around the engine.
