Well, when you really look at it - winter ain't so bad when you only have it once every twenty years or so like here in Austin. You get more of it up there but this has been a pain! I'm just not used to being this shut in. The ice is coming out of the trees now but it's still only 32F - even through the weekend - you're to get snow but it's only supposed to be 35F here and rain. Sounds like a party to me! I bitch but I really feel sorry for the boys. They pay rent every week, they all have families, they buy groceries every three days, they all work outside and they're stacked ten deep when they're all at the house. They haven't been able to work for days and it will be mid week next before they can again.

Wow, I feel for them...Cabin fever is getting rampent here. I decided to clear the ice off my driveway just to have something to do. I have about 3/4's of it done now. If we are going to get this large amount of snow it will be easier to clear without the ice base. Well tell the Boys to keep warm and pray this stuff goes away.

I'm no stranger to this cabin-fever stuff. I remember one winter in Manysnowdalot that we actually put the snowblowers on the roofs to get the snow off because the load was so heavy. I also remember how weird it was to lay in bed that night and listen to the rafters pop and groan as the roof went back into proper shape. I have also done the hat dance with snow over a sheet of ice - broke my tailbone and I wanna tell you about something that is slow to go away.
