Barber track day - May 20

Hey guys, I'm signed up for a track day at Barber for Saturday May 20.
If anybody else is planning to go, let me know and we can hook up there.
I'll have two friends with me.
A R1 and a 954RR.

It would be fun to see some folks from the SH forum there.

Barber huh, I've wanted to try that track out. I usually go to Jennings in N.Fla. Nice motorcycle only track with lots of run off space but it's only down fall is it's flat. Do you have to do a lot of prep work for barber? How far do you think it is from N. Fla? What's it cost? That's another plus about Jennings $125 for Sat. or Sun. and Mon. is only $99.

Re: Barber track day - May 20

It's a NESBA track day. Cost is $175.
Yep, it's a little pricey but I want to get on that track on my bike.

Bham is about 5-6 hours from Destin / PC, about 5 hours from Pensacola.

A buddy of mine has done track days and WERA stuff at Jennings. He had a high speed get-off that left him banged up, busted shoulder, etc. He healed just fine though.

You can check out NESBA.com for all the skinny.
Not much bike prep work required.

Plan to come if you can.

EDIT TO ADD: Look at your post count. It's almost a VTR. Might already be by now.

I almost didn't want to post after you pointed that out. I'll see if I can get up there but I'm actually in S.Fla and that's a haul. I was just getting an idea how much further it is than Jennings but we'll see maybe I could swing it.

Check out last month's Motorcyclist magazine.
Major ink re: Barber

The guys did a STT track day at Barber last Oct. It is a good issue.

Yes, it is a long haul from south Fla. But you could make a long weekend of it.

The museum is really amazing.

I know I'll get there eventually just don' know if it'll be may. We're planning on selling our house soon and moving to Gainsville so it wouldn't be so bad from there. But I'm always trying to fanaggle more track time.
