Thumbs down A bad dream

So just like a bad dream tonight I began the tear down of my hawk because the other night I started getting a real loud noise from the cam chain. I called the dealer and ordered the ccts and got my bike on the lift and started tearing it apart. Well stupid me I forgot to look at the shop manual and didn't align the flywheel so that the cams didn't have any pressure on them. When I backed the CCT off with the retainer clip I heard a snap. Dumb me thinking it was the cct releasing turned the motor over to see if it might have magically fixed itself. "BANG" whoops that didn't sound good. Looks like my cams are out of time. I might have a bent intake valve and my garage is covered in superhawk parts. WOOHOO This should be great practice for when I go to Motorcycle Mechanics Institute next Jan. Like I said in the title welcome to my bad dream. At least I know what I will have to do on the rear CCT

vitter is an unknown quantity at this point
that is not bad.
On my old GSXR1100 I had two motors, one with stock cams, and one with aftermarket cams. the aftermarket cams had heavy duty springs. Putting the stock cams in was no problem, but putting in the aftermarket cams, I torqued them in sequence, but still heard a snap on both of them. Snapped the cams in half.
