adding a fuel pump?

My bike runs out of fuel rather quickly when i'm ripping it up. it gets to the point where the gas gets so low so quick that it doesnt feed the carbs fast enough and i sputter when i lean the bike over since its not getting fuel anymore. I fill it up and its fine for a while, then again it gets low. thinking about adding a fuel pump to it. i know my old zx6r had an internally regulated pump and i figured maybe i could wire that up to a switched power source like i used to do on the old bike and run it that way. what do you guys think? suggestions?

A very beneficial way to do this is to add either a 5th or 6th generation VFR tank (98-present). They use internal fuel pumps PLUS you'll gain fuel capacity! Not quite a bolt on but pretty close. Do a search.

Camaroguy,

You have a problem somewhere that you need to fix. The bike runs fine WOT all day when your fuel and vacuum lines are properly routed and connected to the right places. I suggest you go through the bike and find out what's wrong before you start hacking into it to do a bandaid fix.
