-18.9F here in the champlain valley of Vermont when I woke up.
30 miles east at my folk's house (in the mountains) it was -30.1F. Those temps are, of course, not including windchill. (it think it was -50F or so with the wind)
Maybe I should visit the Hawk' in storage to make sure hes not as ice cube.

-6 walking into the office this morning. It's now a tropical 3. The only thing that makes me feel better is looking at the temp for Mount washington...those poor bastards in the obseratory are dealing with -39 with windchill.....3 doesn't seem so bad with that in mind.

I too live in so cal, and the 80-85 degree days have been GREAT this week.
Sorry for the rest of you folks shivering in below zero weather, but trust me, you don't wanna move here. Real estate market is in the toilet, and traffic is as bad as ever... You're not missing much.

Yep, -16°F here this morning but it's up to -7°F now. It's painful, but I'll take the midwest over Cali any day. You guys can have it. The weather might be nice but there are so many negatives that go along with it...

When I visited last year, my buddy said I must have brought my **** weather with me, it was in the 30's as we headed up the 246 at the end of May! Hell, on our way back from Monterey, we heard reports of tornados back at Moreno Valley where we were headed. My buddy said that's the 1st time he's ever heard of tornados around there. Anyways, I still had a blast, did 1700 miles in 5 days last year on a rented Gixxer 600.

Looks like a balmy 8 degrees with a wc of -15 here in Buffalo NY but at least its not snowing... just to the south though they are getting pounded with lake effect snow - thats ski country so they like the white stuff.

Just got back from a 60 mile ride. 79 degrees and sunny. Had to open the vents on my Cortech Magnum jacket! Yeah, California sucks compared to what it used to be. I ain't stayin' more than a couple more years. Last natural born American should turn the lights out when they leave. On the bright side if you want a nice warm sunny ride in January, it's still hard to beat.

I couldn't imagine being somewhere below zero. That's nuts and makes me feel better.

Cold here in Indiana. But no earthquakes, hurricanes, illegal immigrants, drug wars, pot growing, and the cost of living is about 1/10 of So.Cal. Taxes about the same, my 2700 sq' home with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and a built in pool will be paid off in a year (and cost me 100k)
Some of the many joys of living in No. IN.

I also live in Northern Indiana and love it. We have our share of stuff to deal with, and if you don't think there is pot growing in your neighborhood then maybe you should look a little closer! Still, I can't complain.

Makes you enjoy the warmer weather more.
